Ishartini, Head of the Agency for Marine and Fisheries Quality Control and Supervision, stated that the approval was the result of a successful bilateral proposal submitted through the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) channel. As of May 11, 2026, these eight units are fully authorized to begin their export operations to China.

The newly certified companies include PT Duta Mitra Semesta, PT BPH Global Indonesia, CV Daniel Nathania Fishery, PT Bintang Samudera Pratama, PT Ramantha Kawanua Indonesia, PT Marindo Jaya Maros, PT Jaya Mega Samudera, and PT Zhongyi Supply Chain Services.

Highlighting the strength of the trade relationship, Ishartini noted that Indonesia currently exports 1,080 different types of marine commodities to China. In 2025, the export volume reached 491,528 tons, valued at approximately US$1.04 billion (roughly IDR 17.46 trillion). Among the top ten primary commodities are frozen squid, various types of seaweed including Eucheuma Cottonii and Gracilaria, ribbon fish, leatherjacket fish, and croaker fish.

Looking ahead, Ishartini urged all businesses and stakeholders to maintain rigorous standards. She emphasized that consistency in sanitation, hygiene, and food safety protocols—both within the production chain and the surrounding facility environments—is essential. By upholding these high standards, Indonesian producers can ensure the continued global acceptance of their products and strengthen international trust, ultimately enhancing the nation’s competitive edge in the global seafood market.
