President Prabowo Subianto has officially appointed Nanik S. Deyang as the new Head of the National Nutrition Agency (Badan Gizi Nasional). She succeeds Dadan Hindayana, having previously served as the agency’s Deputy Head.

The announcement was made by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi during a live press conference on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. “The President has made the decision to reshuffle the leadership of the National Nutrition Agency,” Prasetyo stated. He explained that this decision followed a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation process that spanned nearly 18 months.

In addition to replacing the Head of the Agency, the administration announced the removal of former Deputy Heads Lodewyk Pusung and Sonny Sanjaya. Prasetyo extended his gratitude to the departing officials for their dedication and hard work. Moving forward, President Prabowo has appointed Agustina Arumsari and Major General TNI Trenggono as the new Deputy Heads of the National Nutrition Agency. “We hope the new leadership team will immediately begin internal consolidation,” Prasetyo added.

Who is Nanik S. Deyang?

Nanik S. Deyang brings a diverse professional background to her new role. She began her career as a journalist at Tabloid Bangkit, part of the Kompas Gramedia media group, and later became a media leader within the Peluang Media Group (KMP). According to Antara, Nanik held various strategic roles, including General Manager of the specialized magazine Femme, President Director of the women’s tabloid Info Kecantikan, and Commissioner for several publications, including Info Kuliner, the business-focused Peluang Usaha, and the general interest tabloid The Politic.

Born in Madiun on January 3, 1968, Nanik has long demonstrated a keen interest in social, political, and economic issues. Her commitment to these fields led her to serve as Deputy Chair of the National Solidarity Movement (GSN) Foundation, an organization established by President Prabowo. During the 2019 Presidential Election, she was a prominent supporter of the Prabowo-Sandi ticket, serving as Deputy Chair of the National Victory Agency for the Adil Makmur Coalition.
