The decision is documented through Rector’s Decrees No. 504/SK/R/UI/2026 to 519/SK/R/UI/2026. These mandates serve as a direct follow-up to the investigations and recommendations provided by the UI Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPK), working alongside an Expert Team established under Rector’s Decree No. 360/SK/R/UI/2026.

The specific sanctions are categorized as follows:

  • Three-semester academic suspension: 3 individuals
  • Two-semester academic suspension: 7 individuals
  • One-semester academic suspension: 4 individuals
  • Light administrative sanctions: 1 individual
  • Not proven: 1 individual

“UI handles every report of violence with seriousness, fairness, and a victim-centric focus. The sanctions imposed are based on thorough investigations and recommendations from the Satgas PPK and Expert Team, with penalty levels proportional to the proven violations,” stated Erwin Agustian Panigoro, Director of Public Relations, Media, Government, and International Relations at UI, in a statement on Tuesday (2/6).

UI remains firm in its stance that the enforcement of regulations regarding violence is applied consistently to every proven violation. This policy holds true regardless of the status, position, faculty, or background of the parties involved.

Panigoro further explained that every report is processed in accordance with applicable regulations and objective findings to ensure that each decision is fully accountable.

“Since the report was received, the UI Satgas PPK has carried out a series of handling stages. This includes report verification, interviews with victims, witnesses, and the reported parties, as well as the collection and deepening of evidence. The process also involves additional assessments and internal discussions to formulate recommendations. This entire procedure forms the basis for the university leadership to determine the final decision,” he added.

Moving forward, UI is committed to providing continuous assistance and protection for victims both during and after the handling process. This commitment includes ensuring the availability of recovery services and the protection of academic rights. Concurrently, UI is reinforcing prevention measures across the campus to ensure such incidents do not recur, allowing every member of the UI community to study and work in a secure environment.

“The resolution of this case is not the end, but rather a part of UI’s ongoing effort to build a safe campus environment free from violence. Our primary focus is the recovery of victims and prevention so that every member of the UI community remains protected,” Panigoro concluded.
