Danantara to Announce Leadership for State-Owned Export Enterprises Soon

Despite this fast-approaching deadline, the government has yet to finalize and announce the complete leadership team for this state-owned export enterprise.

Dony Oskaria, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara Indonesia, clarified that the organization is currently in the midst of a rigorous selection process. During a press conference held in Jakarta on Sunday, May 31, 2026, regarding the operational preparations for the company, Oskaria stated, “We are conducting a stringent selection process for the human resources who will eventually join PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia.”

While Danantara previously named Luke Thomas Mahony, an Australian national and former Director of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk, as the head of the entity, the full organizational structure remains incomplete. The head of the BUMN (State-Owned Enterprises) regulatory body confirmed that additional appointments are expected to be disclosed during the first week of the transition period, which officially commences on June 1. “We hope that in the coming week, several more names will be announced by Danantara as part of the team,” Oskaria added.

To ensure a robust and qualified team, Oskaria explained that Danantara is collaborating with various government bodies. “We are being assisted by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Trade, and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), who are all contributing to the selection process for human resources at PT DSI,” he noted.

Oskaria emphasized that the appointment process is not being handled by Danantara in isolation; rather, it involves key stakeholders integral to the export regulation framework. This collaborative approach is designed to ensure that PT DSI operates with strong corporate governance, transparency, and accountability. Ultimately, this framework serves as a critical benchmark to ensure that the new one-door export management system functions effectively without creating new regulatory hurdles or merely shifting existing operational challenges.
