Several major fuel providers in Indonesia have implemented fresh price adjustments as of the start of this month. Notably, state-owned energy company PT Pertamina (Persero) has announced a reduction in the prices of its non-subsidized diesel products, specifically Pertamina Dex and Dexlite, effective June 1st.
According to the company’s official website, residents in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area will see lower costs for the Pertamina Dex series compared to the previous month. The price of Dexlite (CN 51) has dropped from IDR 26,000 per liter in May 2026 to IDR 23,000 per liter starting today. Similarly, Pertamina Dex (CN 53) has seen a price decrease, falling from IDR 27,900 to IDR 24,800 per liter.
However, the trend is not universal across all products. Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) has experienced a price hike, rising to IDR 20,750 per liter from its May price of IDR 19,900. Meanwhile, Pertamina has maintained stable pricing for other popular options; Pertamax (RON 92) remains at IDR 12,300 per liter, and Pertamax Green (RON 95) stays at IDR 12,900 per liter. These prices have remained unchanged since March, a policy maintained since before the escalation of geopolitical tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran.
Furthermore, there are no changes to the prices of subsidized or government-mandated fuels. Pertalite remains at IDR 10,000 per liter, while Biosolar is still priced at IDR 6,800 per liter.

These price adjustments are conducted in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Kepmen ESDM) Number 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022, which serves as an amendment to the previous Decree Number 62 K/12/MEM/2020. This regulation establishes the base price formula for calculating the retail selling price of fuel types distributed through public gas stations (SPBU).
Private fuel retailers have also adjusted their pricing structures. At BP stations, the price for BP 92 remains steady at IDR 12,390 per liter. Meanwhile, BP Ultimate has seen a marginal increase from IDR 12,920 to IDR 12,930 per liter. Conversely, the price of BP Ultimate Diesel has decreased from IDR 25,560 last month to IDR 25,060 per liter as of June 1st.
Meanwhile, Shell Indonesia is currently focusing its availability on a specific product in the Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and East Java regions. Their V-Power Diesel is currently priced at IDR 24,490 per liter.
Summary
