Danantara Bantu Beasiswa 500 Mahasiswa hingga Perpustakaan

The Danantara Indonesia Trust has launched a major social initiative, providing scholarships to 500 underprivileged students across the archipelago and funding the development of a new library at the National Museum. This dual-purpose contribution is facilitated through strategic partnerships with the Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat for scholarship distribution and the Indonesia Heritage Agency (Museum dan Cagar Budaya) for the museum’s library project.

Nuraini Razak, Chairperson of the Danantara Indonesia Trust, stated that these initiatives are deeply rooted in the foundation’s three core pillars: health, education, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). “We want to ensure that every program we support delivers a tangible impact on society,” she remarked during the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony at Wisma Danantara on Monday, May 25, 2026.

According to Nuraini, the scholarship program aims to do more than just provide financial relief; it is designed to cultivate leadership qualities and a sense of community service among the youth. Meanwhile, the library development project is set to enhance public access to knowledge within the historic walls of the National Museum.

Minister of Culture Fadli Zon lauded the foundation’s involvement, noting that the Danantara Indonesia Trust has also been instrumental in the revitalization efforts of the National Museum following the 2023 fire. He emphasized that the newly established library serves as a vital showcase of Indonesian culture and civilization.

“It will simultaneously become a benchmark for other museums across Indonesia. Moving forward, I hope Danantara can also extend its support to other heritage sites and museums throughout the country,” the Minister added.

In addition to its focus on education and culture, the Danantara Indonesia Trust has committed Rp 250 billion to the healthcare sector. This funding is dedicated to the procurement of hexavalent vaccines, immunization logistics, and essential micronutrients for pregnant women and children. These health-focused resources are being distributed through a partnership with the Ministry of Health, as formalized in the comprehensive MoU.
